Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate professor of the General and Germanic Linguistics Department of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.
In 1986 entered Lviv National Ivan Franko University, foreign languages department. Having graduated from the University in 1991, got her Diploma with distinction in classical philology.
From 1990 to 1995 worked as a Latin Language teacher at Mykhailo Hrushevsky gymnasium in Kolomya.
She continued her work at the General and Germanic Linguistics department as an Instructor (1995-2003) later as a Senior Teacher (2004-2010) and from 2011 until present has been working as an Associate professor at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.
In September 2005, Marta Petryshyn defended her candidate dissertation “The semantic field of adjectives of size in the Old Greek language (on the material of Homer epos)”.
From 2010 to 2013 was at the head of the State Examination Board at the foreign languages department at Lviv National Ivan Franko University (Latin, ancient Greek, Greek language and ancient literature).
Author of more than 80 scientific works and textbooks on topical issues of Classical philology and methods of teaching ancient Greek and Latin.
