Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of the General and German Linguistics Department of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.
He was born in the village of Bodnariv, Kalu District, Ivano-Frankivsk region, to a family of employees. He graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Languages of Lviv State University. Ivan Franko. He worked as a teacher of German and English in high schools in Ivano-Frankivsk region. Since 2000 – Associate Professor of the Department of General and Comparative Linguistics (now General and German Linguistics) of Carpathian University. V. Stefanyk.
In 1988-1991 he studied at the postgraduate course of the Institute of Linguistics of the NAS of Ukraine in the Department of General Linguistics. In 1991 he defended his PhD thesis “Valence-Intentional Structures of State Verbs in Multilingual Languages”. In 1992-1998 he worked as a researcher at the Institute of Linguistics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Slavic Languages Department), and acted as Scientific Secretary of the Department.
Author of 64 articles and publications published in professional journals. He deals with the problems of semantic syntax, etymology, sociolinguistics and comparative historical linguistics.
